Fair Change is the world's first coin based accounting system developed to help parents manage the discipline and reward process used in child behavior modification. The Fair Change starter pack contains nine (9) coins, each designed for a specific purpose detailed in our "How it works" section below.

Fair Change uses exciting child friendly artwork on solid metal coins. These coins help parents and children keep track of rewards, punishments, and even last chances by offering our children a tangible metal coin as a motivator or reminder. The physical coin helps the child focus on the desired behavior by satisfying both the need for tactile sensory input as well as hands on learning when coins are tied to rewards and real life consequences.
The coins were created to be large enough to not be a choking hazard for those who have younger siblings at home. Unlike a behavior chart on a wall, Fair Change is easily portable and conveniently taken with us while traveling through our daily schedules. The coins themselves stand the test of time, including spills, drops, and the occasional washing machine ride.

ABOUT US
We are a blended family with four young children living in Seacoast New Hampshire. Like countless other parents, we were struggling to figure out a good way to discipline and reward our children in an effort to improve their behavior. Too often we'd scold, "If you argue one more time, you will lose TV for the day!" only to make the same idle threat over and over. Or we'd punish all of our kids because one of them kept breaking the rules. These habits often arise due to the modern family's busy schedule, and the inability to keep track of last chances, rewards and consequences.

Like many parents, we found ourselves in this trap and decided that It was time for a change. So we ventured out and spoke with school teachers, parents, child psychologists, and read a bunch of books in an effort to find the best method for improving children's behaviors. Although most methods were unique, they all had one thing in common. We needed FAIR and CONSISTANT rules, rewards, and consequences.
With our crazy schedule, we needed more than a handmade wall chart at home to track their behavior. We needed a child friendly, engaging accounting system to help us all keep track. Fair Change was born. Our time is now spent enjoying life as a healthy, loving family. It was such a success in our family, that we decided to make Fair Change available for yours.
